\nWe are working with Northampton General Hospital to recruit a Band 6 Clinical Pharmacist to join their supportive and progressive hospital pharmacy team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills across a wide range of specialties, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
\nAbout the Role
\nAs a Clinical Pharmacist, you will rotate across a variety of services, including:

Ward-based clinical pharmacy (approx. 60%)
\n - \n
Dispensary-based services (approx. 20%)
\n - \n
Emergency duty and other pharmacy functions (approx. 20%)
\n
Key responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- \n
Supporting safe and effective use of medicines across the Trust
\n - \n
Participating in ward rounds, medicines reconciliation, and patient counselling
\n - \n
Providing clinical advice and medicines optimisation support
\n - \n
Contributing to audit, service improvement, and guideline development
\n - \n
Supporting dispensary services and medicines supply processes
\n - \n
Working collaboratively with medical, nursing, and pharmacy teams
\n
You will gain exposure across multiple specialties including medicine, surgery, critical care, oncology, paediatrics, and medicines information.
\nEssential Requirements

Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or equivalent)
\n - \n
GPhC registration
\n - \n
Completion of pre-registration training
\n - \n
Strong communication and organisational skills
\n - \n
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
\n
