\nAbout the Role
\nOur client is recruiting a Uro-Gynae Nurse Specialist to join its growing Community Gynaecology Service across Birmingham and Sandwell.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community-based gynaecology services, providing assessment, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management for women with urogynaecological conditions.
\nWorking alongside Consultants, GPwERs, Specialist Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals, you will lead nurse-led clinics and provide expert support for patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, and other pelvic floor disorders.
\nKey Responsibilities

Manage an autonomous caseload of patients with urogynaecological conditions
\n - \n
Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including bladder diaries, pelvic examinations, and pad testing
\n - \n
Perform and interpret urodynamic studies and bladder scans where competent
\n - \n
Undertake catheterisation procedures and long-term catheter management
\n - \n
Fit, manage, and review vaginal pessaries for pelvic organ prolapse
\n - \n
Deliver conservative management programmes including pelvic floor training and bladder retraining
\n - \n
Provide specialist patient education, advice, and emotional support
\n - \n
Act as a key worker coordinating patient care across multidisciplinary services
\n - \n
Participate in MDT meetings, clinical governance, audits, and service development initiatives
\n - \n
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure high standards of patient care and safety
\n
What We’re Looking For
\nEssential
\n- \n

NMC Registered Nurse
\n - \n
Extensive post-registration experience within a relevant specialist area
\n - \n
Experience working within Gynaecology, Urology, or Continence Services
\n - \n
Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
\n - \n
Ability to work autonomously within an agreed scope of practice
\n - \n
Experience managing complex patient caseloads
\n - \n
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between clinic locations
\n
Desirable
\n- \n
- \n
Degree qualification or equivalent experience
\n - \n
Specialist qualification in Urogynaecology or Continence Care
\n - \n
Accredited Continence or Urodynamics qualification
\n - \n
Independent Prescriber qualification
\n - \n
Experience supporting learners and junior colleagues
\n - \n
Experience working across community and secondary care pathways
\n
