\nPertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Day Drivers for an immediate start with a leading transport company based in Rotherham.\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity offering ongoing work, with the potential to become permanent for the right driver.\n
\nThe Role\n

\n
• Immediate starts available
  
\n
• Day shifts with the earliest start time of 5:00am
  
\n
• Typical shifts of around 10 hours, depending on routes
  
\n
• Night outs are likely (£25.00 per night out)
  
\n
• Work across a variety of contracts
  
\n
• Deliveries to a range of customer sites, including MOD locations
  
\n
• Strapping and securing loads before transport
  
\n
• Some manual handling required
  
\n
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
  
\n
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
  
\n
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
  
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
  
\n
• Valid Driver CPC
  
\n
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
  
\n
• Experience with load strapping and securing is desirable
  
\n
• A professional, reliable and flexible approach to work
  
\n
• Successful applicants will be required to pass a driving assessment before starting work
  
\n
