\n We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers who are also happy to drive Class 2 vehicles when required.\n
\n This role involves delivering goods to retail stores from a modern, well-maintained fleet.\n
\n Job Details\n

\n
• Deliveries to retail stores only
\n
• 38 drops per shift
\n
• Caged deliveries
\n
• Some stores may require the driver to open the store for delivery (training provided on first shift)
\n
• Drivers will also return backloads to site
\n
• Vehicles are pre-loaded
\n

Shift Information\n

\n
• Various start times available, including: 20:00, 21:30, 02:00, 03:00, 04:00
\n
• Minimum 8 hours guaranteed (unless specifically booked for a 4-hour shift)
\n
• Breaks are unpaid
\n
• Working days: Monday to Saturday
\n
• Sunday: double time pay
\n
• Overtime: applies after 44 hours at time and a half
\n

Site Information\n

• 24-hour operation
\n
• 14 different delivery routes
\n

Additional Duties\n

\n
• Drivers may occasionally assist in the warehouse if operationally required
\n

Assessment & Training\n

\n
• Hazard perception test (computer based)
\n
• Road driving assessment
\n
• Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) briefing
\n
• First shift as a drivers mate before driving independently
\n

Driver Requirements\n

\n
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
\n
• Willing to drive both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles
\n
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card required
\n
• Comfortable with multi-drop retail deliveries
\n
• Professional, reliable, with minimum 12 months experience
\n
• Maximum 6 penalty points
\n

Pay\n

\n
• Class 1 Days: £17.48/hr
\n
• Class 1 Nights: £17.83/hr
\n
• Class 2 Days: £16.56/hr
\n
• Class 2 Nights: £16.89/hr
\n
• Sunday:double time pay
\n
• Overtime:applies after 44 hours attime and a half
\n
