People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Nottingham.

This is an excellent opportunity offering consistent ongoing work with a pathway to a permanent contract.

This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday (weekend work available)
\n • 07:30 start times

Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Friday: £15.33 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Completing Class 2 multi-drop deliveries (commercial and residential)
\n • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
\n • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
\n • Ensuring goods are loaded and secured correctly
\n • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
\n • Communicating with the transport office and customers
\n • Assisting with loading and unloading when required
\n • Working with curtain-side and rear-load vehicles
\n • Flexible working, including nights out or tramping if required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
\n • A minimum of one year Category C driving experience
\n • A valid UK CPC qualification
\n • A Digital Tachograph Card
\n • No more than six minor penalty points (no major endorsements)
\n • A professional and reliable attitude
\n • Excellent communication skills
\n • A good level of spoken and written English
\n • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
\n • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting
\n • Ongoing industry-related training and support
