\nMeridian Business Support are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a residential childrens service in Ribchester on a temp to perm basis. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead a care team, build experience in a specialist setting and secure a permanent position.\n
\nThis role would suit an experienced Senior Support Worker or existing Team Leader looking to step into a structured leadership position within childrens residential care.\n
Job role As a Team Leader, you will take responsibility for leading shifts and maintaining a safe, supportive environment:\n

  • Lead and motivate a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
  • \n
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of young people at all times
  • \n
  • Supervise staff performance through coaching, probation reviews and appraisals
  • \n
  • Monitor and audit care practices to ensure compliance with Childrens Home Regulations and Quality Standards
  • \n
  • Support the planning and delivery of activities tailored to individual needs
  • \n
  • Promote positive behaviour support and encourage development and independence
  • \n
Skills and experience We are looking for a confident and experienced care professional:\n
\n
    \n
  • Level 3 RQF in Child and Young Peoples Workforce (or equivalent) is essential
  • \n
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory role within residential care or childrens services
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge
  • \n
  • Ability to lead a team and support the development of good practice
  • \n
