\nThe last couple of years has seen Linaker grow exponentially and 2026 is no exception. Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for an Electrically Biased Resident engineer to join us on our upward journey.
\nABOUT THE ROLE
\nAs the Resident Engineer, you will be permanently based in London. You will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of all building services, delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor remedial works.
\nWHAT TOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Completion of PPM works to schedule in the most proactive and efficient way possible.
\n - \n
Production of quotes, including correct parts and labour times required to ensure profitability, cost control and client satisfaction.
\n - \n
Responsible for ensuring effective diagnostic of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment.
\n - \n
Record and document all work carried out and raise appropriate documentation.
\n - \n
Work in accordance with mandatory, health, safety, compliance and environmental requirements.
\n - \n
Ensure contractual SLA and KPIs are met.
\n - \n
Consistently promote high standards through personal standards.
\n - \n
Liaise with other departments, suppliers and other service providers.
\n - \n
Maintaining site logbooks.
\n - \n
Responsible for compliance and health and safety on site.
\n - \n
Protect the company reputation by ensuring the company is always portrayed in a good light and carrying out any other reasonable duties deemed necessary to ensure the business can fulfil its moral, legal duties and obligations.
\n - \n
Able to communicate efficiently with client and helpdesk and Account management team to any matter arising.
\n - \n
Ensure equipment, tools, parts and company assets are calibrated, maintained and looked after in an appropriate manner.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
\nPreferred
\nNVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration / HVAC (or equivalent)
\nF-Gas Category 1
\nProven commercial HVAC maintenance experience
\nGood electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
\nStrong understanding of Health & Safety
\nACRIB Gold Skills Card (Desirable)
\nUnderstanding of F-Gas compliance and environmental regulations.
\nElectrical qualification or knowledge
\nAsbestos awareness (Desirable)
\nExperience working under the SFG20 framework for maintenance schedules.
\nExperience with larger complex sites, or critical plant systems (e.g. chillers, large AHUs).
\n5 Years Industry Experience in similar position (Preferred)
\nAir Source Heat Pump (ASHP) or Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) (Preferred)
\nNot Essential
\nPrevious LV AP appointment
\nRecognised Level 1 or above in Thermography.
\nRecognised Portable Appliance Testing qualification
\nFull UK Driving Licence
\nIPAF
\nPASMA
\nFirst Aid at Work
\nIOSH Working Safely
\nLegionella Training
