Maintenance Technician

CNC Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a well-established and supportive engineering team in the Yeovil area. Pay - £38,500 (plus bonus scheme)

Location: Yeovil
Woking hours: Monday to Thursday 7am 3:30pm Friday 7am 12pm

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment and machinery
\n
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes across electrical and mechanical systems
\n
• Repair and replace defective components
\n
• Conduct testing and performance checks on machinery and equipment
\n
• Maintain and update CMMS records and maintenance history
\n
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving activities
\n
• Utilise predictive maintenance technologies to monitor equipment performance
\n
• Assist junior technicians and provide support to small teams where required
\n
• Maintain high housekeeping and 5S standards
\n
• Follow all health and safety procedures and promote safe working practices
\n

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

\n
• Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment
\n
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems
\n
• Ability to fault-find, analyse issues, and carry out repairs independently
\n
• Competent using hand tools and specialist maintenance equipment
\n
• Flexible to travel if required
\n
