\nOur client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multiskilled CNC Turner on a permanent basis.
\nPlease note this position will be working a permanent backshift, the hours of work are 14:30-00:30 Monday to Thursday.
\nThe Job youll do
\n- \n
- CNC Turner Setter/Operator, to set and operate Victor CNC Machines with Fanuc control systems. \n
- The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set encompassing CNC machining, mechanical knowledge, and hands on experience with various tools and processes. \n
- The successful applicant will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in production. \n
- Set up and operate Victor CNC lathes. \n
- Hand Deburr and fettle detailed components. \n
- Quality checking own work. \n
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to offset coordinates. \n
- Read and understand technical engineering drawings. \n
- Be able to read understand CNC programmes, using machine interface \n
- Using our manufacturing system to be able to check material availability, part requirements, part routings and issue. \n
- Operate within a 5s manufacturing cell environment CNC turning machines with precision, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards. \n
- Maintain machine calibration and perform basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime. \n
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety regulations. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Engineering apprenticeship/City and guilds / NVQ's / National tech certificate engineering. \n
- Proven thorough experience in CNC machine tools turning. \n
- Must be able to setup and operate CNC Turning and mill machines. \n
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine maintenance. \n
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls. \n
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately \n
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast paced environment \n
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role. \n
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. \n
