About the Role
\n We are seeking an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker to join our skilled and dedicated team based in Stevenage. Working in a modern, well-equipped toolroom, you will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, maintenance, and repair of high-precision injection mould tools.
\n Our facilities include Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire and CNC spark eroders, Jones & Shipman surface grinders, with in-house Pro Engineer design and Powermill CAM programming systems.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Manufacture, modify, and repair injection mould tools to high precision standards
\n
• Operate a range of equipment including:\n
  \n
  • Manual milling machines and lathes
  \n
  • Surface and cylindrical grinders
  \n
  • Manual and CNC spark eroders
  \n
  • CNC wire eroders
  \n
\n

\n
• Carry out tool fitting, assembly, and adjustment for production readiness
\n
• Manufacture and fit new injection mould tools as required
\n
• Perform general toolmaking activities including milling, grinding, and fitting
\n
• Use hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders
\n
• Wire and troubleshoot hot runner systems
\n
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and within specified timeframes
\n

Skills and Experience Required

\n
• Proven experience in injection mould toolmaking and high-precision machining
\n
• Strong knowledge of tool assembly, fitting, and repair for complex mould tools
\n
• Skilled in manual machining, grinding, and EDM processes
\n
• CNC machining experience is advantageous
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
\n
