\nThe Opportunity\n
\nWe are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting production through both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak performance.\n
\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n

\n
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficiently
\n
• Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on plant and machinery
\n
• Install, commission, and support new and existing equipment
\n
• Support continuous improvement, identifying and resolving repeat issues
\n
• Maintain accurate electronic maintenance records and stock information
\n
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
\n
• Assist with machinery moves and site improvements
\n
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, including risk assessments
\n
• Support TPM initiatives across the site
\n
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors
\n
• Provide guidance to apprentices or new starters where required
\n

\nAbout You\n
\nTo succeed in this role, you will have:\n
\n

\n
• A completed Maintenance Apprenticeship or relevant qualifications
\n
• Experience working with CNC machinery
\n
• Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with Fanuc control systems and PLCs
\n
• Understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices
\n
• Good IT and communication skills
\n
• A proactive, team-focused approach
\n

Desirable:\n
\n

\n
• IOSH certification
\n
• Specific machine tool knowledge
\n
• Leadership or mentoring experience
\n
