CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator

Pertemps are looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator to join our client based in the heart of Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established precision engineering company, producing high-quality components for a range of industries.\n

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45

• Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
  
\n

Key Responsibilities\n
\n

\n
• Set and operate CNC sliding head machines.
  
\n
• Produce precision components to specification and quality standards.
  
\n
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  
\n
• Carry out in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
  
\n
• Make offsets and minor program adjustments where required.
  
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  
\n
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
  
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Previous experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines.
  
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  
\n
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
\n
• A positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
  
\n
