Job Title:Control Panel Design Engineer
\nBased: Kington, Herefordshire, HR5
\nHours:40pw, Monday to Friday
\nPay:£45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience/qualifications
\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Control Panel Design Engineer to join our Control Panel Design Team. The successful candidate will live within an easy commute to Kington, Herefordshire and report to the Panel Design Manager. The company is a well-known and well-respected business that designs, manufactures and installs electrical control panels for the process, water and wastewater industries. Our aim over the next 5 years is to expand the Control Panel Manufacturing side of the business bringing in further projects from new and existing customers.

\nMain Duties
\nDesign control panels in accordance with Customer and Industry Standards
\nProduce documentation packs using the latest version of EPLAN Design Software
\nProvide technical support to other members of the business
\nCarry out the inspection and testing of control panels, following internal inspection and testing procedures
\nFactory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing with the customer. This may require travelling around the UK and overnight stays when necessary

\nRequirements
\nFormal Electrical/Electronic Engineering Qualification, BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or above (essential)
\nExperience designing Control Panels and Motor Control Centres (MCCs) (desirable)
\nExperience using CAD Design Packages (desirable)
\nKnowledge and understanding of Electrical components, circuits and systems (essential)
\nExperience designing for hazardous area applications (desirable)
\nAble to work independently and as part of a small team (essential)
\nExperience using basic electrical installation tools and testing equipment in a safe manner (desirable)
\nExperience building control panels (desirable)
\nTesting and fault-finding experience (desirable)
\nSelf-motivated, creative thinker with the drive to deliver quality designs that meet the customers requirements (essential)
\nJIB/CSCS and EUSR Card (desirable - training provided if not held)
\nCOMPEX EX 12 (desirable)
\nFull valid driving licence required (essential)
\nExperience within the water, wastewater and process industry (desirable)
