HGV 1 Driver

Pay: £21.40-£25.66 per hour

Job Description:

Driving Force Recruitment is hiring experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for Gist in Crewe, offering top rates, and excellent working conditions.

Role Overview

You will be delivering chilled, ambient, and frozen goods to Marks & Spencer stores.
\n This role involves straightforward cage and tail-lift deliveries no heavy handball using modern, well-maintained vehicles from a clean, professional depot.

Shift times:

\n
• Early starts: 01:00 05:00
\n
• Afternoon starts: 14:00 19:00
\n
• Average shift length: 1011 hours
\n

Pay Rates

\n
• Days: £19.10 per hour
\n
• Nights: £22.90 per hour
\n
• Overtime also available after 8 hours
\n
• Enhanced rates available at weekends & bank holidays
\n

All roles are PAYE, with holiday pay accrued separately.

Requirements

\n
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
\n
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Minimum 12 months recent Class 1 driving experience
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
\n

Full paid training will be provided once you pass your driving assessment to ensure you start safely and confidently.
