Job Description
GENERAL MANAGER
\nOur client is well established company name despite its trading period, family business with the core values of quality and service to its client base, offering services of Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping and Environmental Water and Woodland Management.
\nThe main purpose of the role is to manage and promote the Environmental Department,, predominantly to expand on a small customer base.
\nThe Department will need to build up to a turnover of minimum of £2 million and the candidate will be required to encourage a positive working environment, whilst building and managing the existing team.
\nThey are now requiring
\nA manager who will be responsible for all Health and Safety Management within this Department (delivery of tool box talks, site safety inspections to working practices, inductions of sites, instructions of work, writing RAMS, Method Statements and COSHH, dealing with accident reporting as well as fuel and oil spillages, whilst ensuring daily checks upon equipment/vehicles and machinery are complete.
\nThe Candidate will be responsible for arranging all servicing and maintenance of machinery/equipment (not limited to Tractors, Side, Front and Rear Flail Mowers, 360 Excavators, Chippers, Vehicles, Biomass machinery, Remote Control Mowers etc).
\nWill require knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and computer systems to include good writing and presentation skills to prepare and send quotations, and emails.
\nLiaison with administration department with regard to computerised HR system signing and approving the teams hours, return to work after sickness, and general information.
\nWorking when required in collaboration with the GM Department where crossover of working operations or staffing.
\nRetaining a safe and tidy working environment within the outside depot.
\nWill require knowledge of planting of trees and staking plus matting, understanding of 360 excavators to include tree shears, biomass machinery, ground preparation for seeding and wildseeding, ditch and watercourse profiling.
\nThe following qualifications are required;
\nSMSTS
\nNPORS (excavators for over 10 tonne and below ten tonne to include dump trailer).
\nOther qualifications desirable is;
\nLantra Handheld Hedge Trimmer, Brushcutter, Remote Control Mower, off road 4 x 4 vehicle and woodchipper qualifications
\nATV 4 x 4 qualification
