\nMTrec recruitment are proudly representing our industry-leading client, who is based in the Stoke-on-Trent area, in their search for an experienced and hands-on maintenance engineer.
\nThe role would be well-suited to those with a mechanical bias or a multiskilled background.
\nThe role is working a permanent day shift- Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:30, though will include on-call work 1 week in 5, and an earlier shift pattern, 06:00 to 14:30, 1 week in 5.

\nThe Job you will do:
\n- \n
- Investigate, diagnose, and rectify faults on automated process equipment such as pumps, mixers, conveyor/drive systems, packaging equipment and general services support. \n
- Possess strong hands-on skills in mechanical disciplines such as fitting, welding, dismantling/rebuilding, and parts replacement. \n
- Provide effective reactive engineering support to manufacturing plus an active involvement in a rapidly evolving PPM system. \n
- Ensure all relevant engineering documentation and communications are completed in a presentable and timely manner. Work closely and effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure the process operates in a safe and efficient manner. \n
- Possess a flexible and driven persona with the ability to communicate with your team and colleagues at all levels of the business. \n
- Participate in scheduled production meetings to ensure you understand the performance and targets of the production process and apply engineering contributions to any relevant decision-making. \n
- Demonstrate a willingness to participate and contribute to any improvement schemes or projects through all areas of the business \n
About you:
\n- \n
- A time served engineer with a minimum of a level 3 NVQ qualification. \n
- Experience within technologically driven manufacturing environments \n
- Ideally, you will hold an 18th edition qualification, but this is not essential \n
- Ideally, you will be able to perform basic fault-finding on PLC systems, but this is not essential. \n
- A hands-on and flexible approach to work \n
- Fully available to work the full range of shift patterns for the role. \n
