About Us
\nCroyard Medical Practice is a well-established, two-site GP practice serving the
\ncommunities of Beauly and Muir of Ord. The Practice list size is approximately 6,300. We
\noperate from modern facilities with a stable, experienced team who are proud of the care
\nwe deliver. Our ethos is built on quality, safety, and keeping local people at the heart of
\neverything we do. We are a training practice dedicated to supporting the development of
\nfuture doctors. We regularly host placements for both undergraduate and postgraduate
\nlearners.
\nThe Role
\nWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to provide leadership
\nand strategic direction across both sites. Working closely with the GP Partners, you will
\nplay a key role in ensuring the practice operates efficiently, sustainably, and safely, while
\ncontinuing to nurture the strong team culture we have built.
\nThis is a varied and rewarding role with responsibility for financial oversight, human
\nresources, governance, premises management, and stakeholder engagement. You will be
\nwell supported in the role, with payroll managed externally by our accountants and access
\nto specialist HR and employment law advice. This support allows you to focus on driving
\nimprovements across both administrative and clinical workstreams.

\nResponsibilities
\nFinancial Management: Oversee the Practice's finances, including budgeting,
\nforecasting, income monitoring, and invoicing, liaising with our external accountants who
\nmanage payroll and statutory compliance.
\nHuman Resources: Lead on recruitment, staff development, appraisals, and performance
\nmanagement, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
\nQuality & Risk Management: Work alongside our in-house clinical governance team to
\npromote continuous improvement, manage administrative risk, oversee complaints
\nhandling, and support reporting requirements.
\nStrategy & Governance: Contribute to partnership meetings, support strategic planning,
\nlead projects, and maintain policies and systems with a strong supporting team.
\nInformation & Communication: Manage Practice IT systems, ensure data protection
\ncompliance, and maintain relationships with NHS Highland, the Local Medicine’s
\nCommittee, and other key organisations.
\nPremises & Equipment: Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and lease matters across both
\nsites, liaising with the Health Board and relevant providers.

\ngained within a healthcare setting with excellent organisational skills, IT literacy, financial
\nawareness, and the confidence to lead and support a team.

\nWhile NHS experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. We also welcome
\napplications from motivated individuals from outside the NHS who can demonstrate the
\nrelevant skills, experience, and potential to grow and succeed in this role.
