Civil Design Engineer / Civil Technician

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)

Rate: Up to £40 per hour DOE

Contract: Long-term Contract

The Role

Our client, a well-established civil engineering consultancy based in Edinburgh, is looking to appoint a Civil Design Engineer or Civil Technician to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

You'll be supporting the delivery of building developments across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, education and healthcare. The role will involve producing civil engineering designs for roads, drainage and external works, working alongside a team of experienced engineers from concept through to detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce civil engineering designs for infrastructure and development projects.
\n
• Design roads, drainage and external works using industry-standard software.
\n
• Prepare drawings and technical information for planning and construction.
\n
• Work closely with engineers and the wider design team to deliver projects to programme.
\n
• Liaise with clients and other design disciplines where required.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience working within a UK civil engineering consultancy.
\n
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
\n
• Experience using InfoDrainage or PDS.
\n
• Experience working on roads, drainage and infrastructure design for residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
\n
• Good understanding of UK design standards and regulations.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
\n
