THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity to join the leading marine defendant personal injury, travel and regulatory team within the wider Marine Business Group in London.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a wide cross section of clients in the sector ranging from ship and yacht owners, operators and insurers, ports, hotel owners and insurers and cruise lines, dealing with a range of matters including personal injury claims, EL/PL land-based claims, travel claims, and industrial disease claims.

Key responsibilities:

\n * Personal injury claims bought by ship's crew and passengers.
\n This includes defending claims for catastrophic injury, fatal injuries and jurisdictional advice.
\n * EL and PL land based personal injury claims, particularly in the ports sector.
\n * Travel claims brought against cruise ships, yachts and to a lesser extent hotels and airlines.
\n * Industrial disease claims.
\n * Work related death investigations and prosecutions by police, MCA, HSE and MAIB
\n * Drafting agreements.

THE CANDIDATE

\n * Qualified Solicitor NQ -2 PQE with personal injury and/or industrial disease claim experience.
\n * Ability to handle your own claims and able to work as part of a team and independently.
