About the Role:

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working with a local authority in Yorkshire on an exclusive basis to recruit an Interim Director of Legal and Monitoring Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a competent, respectable team and award winning legal team.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Legal and MO locum:

• Leading the legal, democratic, data protection and complaints teams
\n
• Taking on the statutory Monitoring Officer duties
\n
• Sitting within the senior leadership team for the authority
\n
• Hybrid working with at least one day per week in office
\n
• Dealing with code of conduct breaches, member complaints
\n
• Attending full council meetings
\n

Desirable Skills and Requirements of the Director of Legal and MO:

\n
• Looking for someone senior and strategic
\n
• Previous experience as Director or MO
\n
• Previous experience working in the public sector and specifically local authority
\n
