Street Cleansing Operative / HGV Driver
\nIndustry: Civil Engineering
\nLocation: Isle of Wight
\nHours: 40 hours per week: 6.00am - 2.30pm.
\nDays: Monday - Sunday on a rota basis
\nDuration: Temporary ongoing
\nDuties:
\nSafe operation of plant including left-hand drive road sweepers, working to planned routes and schedules.
\nVehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects.
\nRoad sweeping, litter picking and removal of debris.
\nAdherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
\nThe role may also include:
\nEmptying public rubbish bins including dog waste.
\nWeed removal, clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste.
\ngum and graffiti removal
\nExperience:
\nMust have full clean HGV driver’s license and a good awareness of health and safety.
\nMust be physically fit due to nature of duties.
\nMust be able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative.
\nSalary: £13.50 per hour worked
