\n General Practitioner with Aviation Medicine Qualification\n

We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner with Aviation Medicine Qualification) to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence at RAF Valley Medical Centre, Holyhead, Anglesey. This is a locum role (43 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to MoD service personnel.

Pay rates:

  • PAYE £63.11 per hour
  • \n
  • Sole Trader - £72.58 per hour

Main duties of the job\n
    \n
  • Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for military and entitled personnel.
  • \n
  • Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) assessments within the locum doctor's scope of experience and qualification.
  • \n
  • Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceman's ability to undertake their duties.
  • \n
  • Complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
  • \n
  • Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • General Practitioners must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the main register and on the GMC GP Register without restrictions.
  • \n
  • Diploma in Aviation Medicine or completion of the RAF Military Aviation Medicine Examiner (MAME) Course.
  • \n
  • Current, satisfactory in‑date annual appraisal in line with GMC Good Medical Practice (GMP).
  • \n
  • Current certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to Level 3 training.
  • \n
  • UK NHS Performer List status and an NHS Performer number.
  • \n
