Management Accountant

FT Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading global energy services organisation with the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join their finance team in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join a fast-paced, project-focused business where you'll work closely with operational teams, providing valuable financial insight to support decision-making and drive business performance. The role offers a varied mix of management accounting, business partnering, project accounting, and continuous improvement activities within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with operational teams to monitor project performance, ensuring revenue, costs, and profitability are accurately reported.

• Build strong relationships across the business to improve financial awareness and support informed decision-making.
\n
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across designated business areas.
\n
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and meaningful financial commentary.
\n
• Process monthly accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Complete bank reconciliations and support cash flow forecasting activities.
\n
• Provide financial support for international operations, ensuring reporting requirements are met.
\n
• Work alongside operational and accounts receivable teams to improve cash collection and optimise working capital.
\n
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, controls, and business processes.
\n
• Support the implementation of new finance systems and reporting improvements.
\n

You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys working closely with stakeholders across the business and has strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills would be highly advantageous.
