Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow

Rate: Up to £34 per hour (DOE)

Contract: Long term

The Role

Our client, a well-established civil & structural engineering consultancy, is looking to appoint an experienced Structural Technician to support the delivery of a range of building structures projects

Working alongside a team of structural engineers and technicians, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and 3D models for projects from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality structural drawings and models using Revit.
\n
• Work closely with engineers to develop coordinated structural designs.
\n
• Ensure drawings are produced in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
\n
• Attend design meetings where required and assist with the coordination of multidisciplinary projects.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience working as a Structural Technician within a consulting engineering environment.
\n
• Proficient in Revit, with demonstrable experience using the software on building structures projects.
\n
• Experience working on a variety of projects including commercial, residential, industrial, education and/or healthcare developments.
\n
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry structures.
\n
• Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and work to project deadlines.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a design team.
\n
