Pipework/Water Treatment Engineer

PFC Careers are working with a leading Scottish Commissioning company to recruit a Pipework/Water treatment Engineer on a permanent basis.

\nDue to continued growth and increasing client demand, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Water Treatment Engineer with a strong understanding of water treatment systems
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working independently across multiple sites while being part of a professional and supportive team environment.
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering compliant water treatment and water hygiene services across various sites.
\nWater Treatment Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

- Deliver water treatment services in line with contract scopes, KPIs, \n
- Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple sites. \n
- Carry out water sampling and testing activities, including transporting samples for laboratory analysis. \n
- Oversee treatment programmes for heating systems, chilled water systems, and other closed systems. \n
- Support Legionella control programmes including chlorination, disinfection, tank cleaning, and remedial actions. \n
- Identify system deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions. \n
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, compliance documentation, and audit trails. \n
- Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations and chemical management procedures. \n
- Communicate effectively with site teams, facilities managers, and clients. \n
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including RAMS and Permit-to-Work systems. \n
- Work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service. \n
Water Treatment Engineer Skills and Experience:.
\n- \n
- Strong knowledge of domestic hot and cold-water systems, closed systems, and water treatment programmes. \n
- Experience carrying out water sampling, testing, dosing, flushing, and disinfection works. \n
- Good understanding of Legionella control requirements and industry best practices \n
- Strong communication and organisational skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads across multiple sites. \n
- Positive attitude, professional approach, and commitment to delivering high-quality service. \n
- Relevant industry qualifications in Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, or Legionella Management would be advantageous. \n
