ASC Manager
Job Description
The Service Manager is the Registered Manager for their designated School Age Care services. The role holds full accountability for the safe, compliant, and effective operation of those services including staffing, safeguarding, quality assurance, admissions, and day-to-day operational leadership.
\nThe Service Manager operates supernumerary. They are not expected to cover staff ratios. They are expected to be present, visible, and actively engaged across their services in a purposeful way. Care inspectors will ask the Registered Manager about individual children by name. A named, documented senior lead is in place and briefed within each site to hold day-to-day responsibility when the manager is at another site.

\n- Admissions, Capacity and family Engagement
\n-Holiday Club and ASN Provision
\n- Lead on Quality Assurance and Inspection readiness
\n- Building Management / Supporting other user groups.
\n- People Management and Staff Development
\n-Staffing and Rotas
\nSafeguarding and Children's well-being:
\nAct as Designated Safeguarding Lead for designated service.
\nHold responsibility for child protection decision-making; liaise directly with statutory agencies.
\nMaintain accurate, chronological records of all safeguarding concerns, actions,
\nand outcomes.
\nEnsure care plans are in place for all children requiring them within 28 days;
\nreview every six months minimum.
\nMaintain oversight of medication administration, allergy lists, and dietary requirements.
\nSubmit CARE INSPECTORATE eform notifications within required timescales.
\nEnsure children's voices shape service planning and provision.
\nThis post is Monday to Friday, working pattern between 7am-6pm, timings can be discussed with management.
\nExperience running an out of school care service is preferred but not essential. Qualified SQA level 3 or 4 is a must (HNC/HND). Strong leadership qualities required.
