\nFull time - 37.5 hours over 5 days to include oncall & weekend working.

We are looking for a Deputy Ward Manager to join our established team at Rivers Hospital and be part of our exciting journey.
\n
\n You will be delivering exceptional standards of clinical care to our surgical patients working with a dedicated team and directly reporting to the Ward Manager.
Duties Include
\n- \n
- Deputise for the manager in their absence and to provide leadership to ward \n
- team. \n
- Daily operational management of the ward including rostering of staff to ensure \n
- To lead on Clinical Governance for the ward, ensuring audits are undertaken, \n
- To lead investigation of incidents/complaints which relate to the ward. \n
- To be the ward patient advocate. \n
- Participate in care delivery, acting as a role model ensuring the highest levels of professional standards \n
- Optimise efficient use of consumables and stock levels \n
- Regular liaison with Maintenance Department to ensure service dates for all ward equipment are adhered to and service contracts maintained. \n
- To participate in on call and weekend working \n
What you’ll bring with you:

- Registered with the NMC \n
- Immediate Life Support \n
- AIMs \n
- ENB 998 or equivalent \n
- Strong clinical background as a ward nurse \n
- Significant exposure in a senior role to external stakeholders such as Consultants, Physicians, Allied Health professionals, patients and suppliers \n
