Senior Leadership Opportunity within a Growing Specialist Practice

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior insurance litigation lawyer to join a highly regarded and growing professional risks practice in Manchester.

This appointment offers the chance to take on a genuine leadership role within an established team, helping to shape strategy, drive growth and further develop a successful practice with a strong insurer client base and significant future potential.

The team is recognised within the Legal 500 and advises on a broad range of complex liability and coverage matters across the UK.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in the continued growth of the Professional Risks offering, with a particular focus on construction-related claims and insurance coverage work.

This is far more than a traditional fee-earning role. The successful individual will have the opportunity to:

• Build and strengthen relationships with insurer and broker clients

• Develop and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team expansion

The Work

The role involves advising on a broad range of insured and uninsured matters, including:

\n
• Professional indemnity claims
\n
• Public liability and property damage disputes
\n
• Complex policy coverage advice
\n
• Construction and built environment professional risks
\n
• Multi-party and high-value litigation
\n
• Claims ranging from routine matters through to multi-million-pound disputes
\n

About You

Applications are welcomed from experienced lawyers who can demonstrate:

• Significant experience defending professional liability and/or insurance claims
\n
• Strong expertise in policy coverage advice
\n
• Particular experience within construction, engineering or built environment claims would be advantageous
\n
• Strong commercial judgement and client management skills
\n
• Experience developing relationships with insurers, brokers and key stakeholders
\n
• A track record of supervising and mentoring lawyers
\n
• An interest in contributing to business development and practice growth
\n
