Claims Lawyer
Job Description
An international business operating in the shipping and maritime sector is seeking a Claims Lawyer to join its London-based legal team.
\nThis is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value maritime claims and disputes while providing commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across operations, chartering, technical and safety functions.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Managing a broad range of shipping and maritime claims. \n
- Advising on charterparty, cargo, casualty and contractual disputes. \n
- Working closely with operational teams to assess risk and develop practical solutions. \n
- Liaising with insurers, external counsel and other industry stakeholders. \n
- Supporting the business on legal strategy and claims resolution. \n
About You:
\n- \n
- Qualified Lawyer with c-10+ PQE in shipping claims. \n
- Experience in shipping, maritime law or marine insurance. \n
- Background gained in private practice, a P&I Club, insurer or in-house environment. \n
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage matters from inception through to resolution. \n
- Commercially minded, proactive and able to build relationships across a business. \n
