Job Description
Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established precision engineering business in Poole that is looking to add a skilled CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator to its c manufacturing team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Turner seeking a permanent role with a 4-day working week, ongoing training, and genuine opportunities for progression.
\nWorking within a modern, recently refurbished facility, the CNC Turner will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components across a variety of materials, from prototype work through to medium batch production.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n\n- \n
- Program, set and operate CNC multi-axis lathes using Fanuc and Manual Guide. \n
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings. \n
- Produce parts in materials including stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, brass and plastics. \n
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspections. \n
- Inspect and verify your own work using measuring equipment. \n
- Reset and change machines throughout the day as production demands. \n
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation. \n
- Support efficient production across multiple machines when required. \n
Skills & Experience Required
\n\n- \n
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Turner within a subcontract engineering environment. \n
- Strong CNC programming experience using Fanuc and Manual Guide controls. \n
- Experience operating CNC lathes with bar feed systems. \n
- Ability to independently set and reset machines multiple times per shift. \n
- Competent using verniers, micrometers, thread gauges and other inspection equipment. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards. \n
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities. \n
- Reliable, proactive and committed approach to work. \n
