HGV Class 1 HIAB Driver

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our Specialist Haulage department. Drivers will be expected to travel around the country to deliver customer goods in a safe an professional manner. The position is available from our Aylesford depot. This is for a Artic type vehicle and is subject to nights out. Basic hourly rate is £14.65 per hour with a £15.25 a day HIAB bonus and a 10 hour a day guarantee. Nights out are £25.50 a night with £4 a day meal allowance.\n

• Deliver customers good in a professional and friendly manner
\n
• Ensure the most direct truck friendly route is taken
\n
• Ensure the vehicle is safe and fit to be on the road by carrying out adequate daily checks.
\n
• Work within the tachograph and working time directive laws
\n
• Ensure all PODs are captured accurately
\n
• Able to work on own initiative and part of a team
\n
• Report any issues effectively and promptly to management
\n
• Be able to work to a productive nature.
\n

Qualifications and Skills For driver\n
\n

\n
• Full driving licence In date driver CPC and digital tachograph
\n
• Sound geographical knowledge of UK and be able to use a road atlas.
\n
• Posses good literacy and numeracy skills.
\n
• Have a reason able level of fitness Presentable, good attitude and polite.
\n
• Moffett/ Lorry loader experience required
\n
• Netting and sheeting experience of benefit but not essential
\n
