Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Team Leader LGV Driver to join a busy frontline refuse collection team.
\n This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver who enjoys working outdoors, leading a crew, and delivering an essential public service.

### The Role

\n

Working as a Team Leader Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a refuse collection vehicle while leading your crew to ensure waste and recycling collections are completed efficiently across the district.
\n Your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
\n
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
\n
• Completing all required paperwork and route documentation.
\n
• Leading and supervising the collection crew.
\n
• Collecting household waste, recycling and garden waste.
\n
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
\n
• Reporting vehicle defects, incidents and missed collections.
\n
• Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times.
\n
• Liaising with supervisors and depot staff when required.
\n

The successful candidate will receive full induction, health & safety training, shadowing and training on waste reception points before commencing duties.

\n

### Requirements

\n

To be considered, you must have:

Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence. Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence. Experience driving LGV/Class 2 vehicles. Good communication and leadership skills. A commitment to excellent customer service and health & safety. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and undertake some manual handling. \n

### What's on Offer?

£14.82 per hour. Four-day working week (Tuesday-Friday). 40 hours per week. Full induction, training and PPE provided. Work within a supportive and experienced team.\n
