Millison Chase Limited is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing store distribution work with one of our leading food distribution clients.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for professional Class 1 (C+E) Drivers looking for regular work delivering chilled, frozen, and ambient food products to supermarkets, retail stores, RDCs, NDCs, and convenience outlets throughout the UK.

\n

The role involves operating modern refrigerated articulated vehicles fitted with temperature-controlled trailers, ensuring products are delivered safely while maintaining the cold chain throughout the journey. Drivers will normally complete 2 to 3 local store deliveries per shift, with routes carefully planned to maximise efficiency and remain fully compliant with Driver's Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.

\n

Deliveries are completed using tail lifts and electric pump trucks, with goods supplied in roll cages or palletised loads. Drivers will be responsible for safely unloading at store locations while providing excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent work, excellent PAYE rates, and direct employment through Millison Chase Limited.

Pay & Progression\n

• Days: £18.00 per hour

• Nights: £19.00 per hour

• Weekends: £20.00 per hour

Responsibilities\n

\n
• Delivering chilled, frozen, and ambient food products to retail stores
\n
• Completing 2 to 3 store deliveries per shift
\n
• Operating refrigerated Class 1 articulated vehicles
\n
• Using tail lifts and electric pump trucks for store deliveries
\n
• Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks
\n
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
\n
• Maintaining temperature control throughout deliveries
\n
• Following Driver's Hours and Tachograph Regulations
\n
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
\n
• Operating vehicles safely and professionally at all times
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
\n
• Valid Driver CPC Card
\n
• Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Minimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience preferred
\n
• Previous refrigerated or store delivery experience desirable
\n
• Good communication and customer service skills
\n
• Reliable and professional attitude
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom and ability to provide documentation
\n
