Salary: £17.50 - £18.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 39 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am - 12:30pm

\n\nThe Role\n
\n
As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. Working within a modern machining environment, you'll play a key role in delivering quality products efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the business.
\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n
- \n
- Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines. \n
- Manufacture precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications. \n
- Select appropriate tooling, machine settings, and cutting parameters for each job. \n
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment. \n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately. \n
- Maintain exceptional quality standards and work to tight tolerances. \n
- Meet production schedules while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. \n
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised work area. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and productivity. \n
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies. \n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support production objectives. \n
\nAbout You\n
\n
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment. \n
- Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines. \n
- The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings. \n
- A strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards. \n
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, and gauges. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. \n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a skilled manufacturing team. \n
- A positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality components. \n
\nDesirable Experience\n
\n
- \n
- Experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens control systems. \n
- Experience machining a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel. \n
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement techniques. \n
- Experience working within an ISO-accredited manufacturing environment. \n
