Deritend part of the Rubix Group of Companies was founded in 1898 and serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue-chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers and best-known brands in the world.
\nWe specialise in optimising asset performance, including motors, gear boxes, pumps, machining, condition monitoring and fabrication services. We are looking for a motivated individual to join us and further strengthen our fabrication team within our Deritend Middlesbrough facility.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Fabricate from a drawing or sketch and fully weld carbon steel / stainless steel structures including access platforms, ladders, handrailing & general light to medium duty fabrications. \n
- On site installation of carbon steel and stainless-steel structures. \n
- Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues. \n
- Promote a culture of working safely as routine. \n
- Occasionally you may be asked to work away for a short period of time. \n
Key Skills / Qualifications
\nMain Tasks and Deliverables:
\n * Disassembly and accurate re-assembly of industrial rotating equipment.
\n * Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
\n * Assessing need for spare parts
\n * Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary
*You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable)
\n* You will be happy working with a team as well as working on your own initiative
\n* Have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn/damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options.
\n * Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect.
\n * Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and Company procedures.
\n * Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business.
\n * Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
\n * Support other teams and functions as required by the business.
\n * Undertake self-development activities as required by the business.
\n * Undertake any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager.
\n * Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.
\n * Liaise with Coordinator to establish requirements
\n * Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
\n * Time served apprenticeship or equivalent in a Rotational discipline.
\n * ONC/HNC or equivalent, preferred but not essential
\n * Knowledge of Industrial Gearboxes and Pumps, multi skilled in basic Electrical Practices
\n * UK driving license
