Due to continued growth and significant investment at this large manufacturing site, we are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the expanding engineering team.

\n

This is a secure, permanent opportunity within a major food manufacturing operation that is investing in its site, production capability, machinery and engineering function.

\n

You will join a busy and fast-paced environment where engineering plays a critical role in supporting production, improving reliability and helping the site achieve its future growth plans.

\n

The role would suit an electrically qualified Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer or electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for long-term stability, varied machinery and genuine technical responsibility.

The Role\n

As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will help keep production machinery, plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

\n

You will be responsible for:

\n
    \n
  • Responding to machinery breakdowns and plant stoppages
  • \n
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
  • \n
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • \n
  • Maintaining and repairing production machinery and plant
  • \n
  • Working on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
  • \n
  • Identifying recurring faults and supporting permanent improvements
  • \n
  • Helping improve equipment reliability, availability, uptime and OEE
  • \n
  • Supporting newly introduced equipment, machinery upgrades and site investment projects
  • \n
  • Completing maintenance records and engineering documentation
  • \n
  • Recording labour, parts and completed work using SAP and PPM systems
  • \n
  • Working closely with production teams and other engineers
  • \n
  • Supporting contractors and external engineers where required
  • \n
  • Following site Health and Safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and COSHH
  • \n
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, energy reduction and efficiency projects
  • \n
  • Supporting apprentices and less experienced colleagues where needed
  • \n
What We Are Looking For\n

You will need:

\n
    \n
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • \n
  • Recognised UK electrical qualifications
  • \n
  • Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or an industrial environment
  • \n
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • \n
  • Experience with single-phase and three-phase systems
  • \n
  • Experience maintaining production machinery, automated equipment or plant
  • \n
  • The ability to work safely and effectively under pressure
  • \n
  • A practical, reliable and proactive approach
  • \n
  • Good communication skills
  • \n
  • The ability to complete accurate maintenance and engineering records
  • \n
\n

Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, poultry, processing or high-volume production would be advantageous.

\n

You will work a rotating 4 on / 4 off shift pattern:

Shift times are:

  • Days: 5:30am5:30pm
  • \n
  • Nights: 5:30pm5:30am
  • \n
\n

The role is based in Anwick, near Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Due to the site location and shift times, access to your own transport is recommended.
