HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit HGV 1 night drivers for our client in Barnsley.

Hours of work:

• Night Shift
\n
• Various shift patterns available across 7 days
\n
• Various start times
\n

Salary:

\n
• Mon to Fri £16.50 p/h plus £2.00 p/h for holiday pay (accrued)
\n
• Saturdays paid at £18.99 + £2.30 holiday pay (accrued)
\n
• Sunday paid at £20.99 + £2.54 holiday pay (accrued)
\n
• Example Mon to Fri = 50 hours x £16.50 = £825.00 + £100 in holiday pay (Can be included with your pay if required).
\n

The Role:

Ongoing work - different roles

\n
• Some trunking work but mainly store delivery. Mostly regular routes with mixture of delivery runs including 1 hit and 4/5 hit runs.
\n

Duties/Responsibilities:

\n
• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
\n
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
\n
• To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
\n
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
\n

Essential Skills:

\n
• Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
\n
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
\n
• Good communication skills and good customer relations.
\n
• Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations with no DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
\n
• Must have at least 1 years experience.
\n
