Tool Asset Care Technician
Approx. £30,000 (pro rata)
Location: North Walsham
Shift: Flexible part-time days (2430 hours per week)

\nWe're looking for an experienced Tool Asset Care Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of production tooling within a busy manufacturing environment. Working alongside an existing technician, you'll play a key role in keeping tooling in excellent condition and ready for production.
\nThis is a practical, engineering-focused role suited to someone with previous toolroom, tooling, asset care, or injection moulding experience. It's not a high-pressure production position and it's not an entry-level opportunity. Instead, it's a well-structured role where experience, reliability, and attention to detail are genuinely valued.

- Approx. £30,000 earnings based on 30 hours per week \n
- Full-time equivalent salary of £36,500£40,000 \n
- Flexible 3 or 4 day working week \n
- Hours can be tailored around the right person \n
- Overtime hourly rate \n
- 33 days holiday (pro rata) \n
- 4% employer pension contribution \n

What You'll Be Doing
\n- \n
- Maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing production tooling \n
- Stripping, cleaning, inspecting, and rebuilding tools ready for production \n
- Diagnosing tooling faults and carrying out repairs \n
- Completing preventative maintenance to maximise tool life and reliability \n
- Supporting tool change activities when required \n
- Recording maintenance work and tooling history accurately \n
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing performance \n
- Helping maintain high standards of safety, organisation, and housekeeping \n
What We're Looking For
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a Tool Asset Care Technician, Tool Room Technician, Toolmaker, or similar tooling-focused role \n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach \n
- Experience maintaining and repairing production tooling \n
- Injection moulding tooling experience would be advantageous \n
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively \n
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintenance \n
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to high standards \n
- Someone looking for a flexible engineering role without stepping away from practical engineering work \n
