HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – BANBURY, OXFORDSHIRE – NEW PASSES WELCOME - ONGOING WORK – TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing regular work and genuine long-term career opportunities, including temp-to-perm positions.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver or Pallet Network Driver.

• 04:00 fixed start time

Rates of Pay

\n
• £15.00 per hour
\n
• £17.00 per hour after completing training (4-6 Weeks)
\n

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

 • Completing multi-drop deliveries to Shops, Supermarkets & Distribution Centres.
\n  • Delivering of Pallets or Cages.
\n  • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
\n  • Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
\n  • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before transportation
\n  • Adhering to road traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules
\n  • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
\n  • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
\n  • No minimum experience – New Passes Welcome!
\n  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
\n  • No major endorsement codes
\n  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • Good spoken and written English
\n  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
\n  • A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial driving experience
\n  • Multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training provided
\n  • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
