An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Bodyshop Technician to join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle repair operation based in West Sussex.

\n

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs, restoration, and refurbishment work on a range of commercial and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

\n

This role would suit a motivated technician with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • \n

    Carry out body repairs on commercial and light commercial vehicles.

  • \n
  • \n

    Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.

  • \n
  • \n

    Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels and body components.

  • \n
  • \n

    Undertake panel beating, metal finishing, alignment, and structural repairs.

  • \n
  • \n

    Carry out welding and fabrication work where required.

  • \n
  • \n

    Prepare vehicles and components for painting.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer standards and company procedures.

  • \n
  • \n

    Conduct quality control checks to ensure a high standard of workmanship.

  • \n
  • \n

    Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

  • \n
  • \n

    Liaise with colleagues and management regarding repair progress and additional work requirements.

  • \n
  • \n

    Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures.

RequirementsEssential\n
    \n
  • \n

    Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Bodyshop Technician, Panel Beater, Commercial Vehicle Body Repair Technician, or similar role.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience working on commercial and light commercial vehicles.

  • \n
  • \n

    Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and industry best practices.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • \n
  • \n

    Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

  • \n
  • \n

    Full UK Driving Licence.

  • \n
Desirable\n
    \n
  • \n

    Relevant vehicle repair, panel beating, welding, or bodyshop qualifications.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience within a commercial vehicle repair environment.

  • \n
  • \n

    ATA accreditation or equivalent industry certification.
