Validation Manager

The Role

Were looking for a Validation & Testing Manager to lead a high-performing Validation R&D team, ensuring all testing and product validation activities are delivered on time and to a high standard.

This is a leadership role combining hands-on technical oversight with strong people management, ensuring that products are fully validated and reliable before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Validation R&D Team, overseeing day-to-day testing and validation activities
\n
• Ensure all validation work is delivered on time and in line with agreed test plans
\n
• Act as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring no faulty or buggy products leave validation without being fully resolved
\n
• Support the Head of R&D with resource planning and workload management
\n
• Manage team performance including KPIs, development, training, and progression
\n
• Oversee team administration including holidays, recruitment, and general management duties
\n
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the validation team
\n
• Drive continuous improvement across testing processes and validation standards
\n

Essential Experience

\n
• Proven experience in a Validation, Testing, or QA leadership role
\n
• Strong people management experience (team leadership, development, performance management)
\n
• Experience managing test plans, validation processes, and delivery timelines
\n
• Ability to identify and resolve product faults/bugs before release
\n
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with R&D leadership
\n

Desirable Experience

\n
• Background in R&D or product development environments
\n
• Experience supporting resource planning and scaling teams
\n
• Exposure to electronics, embedded systems, or engineering-led products (if relevant to client)
\n
