\nLocation: Central Harrogate
\nContract: Permanent
\nSalary: Circa £25,000-28,000 DOE
\nWorking Pattern: Full-time
\nA well-established and growing independent accountancy practice based in central Harrogate is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join its friendly and supportive team.
\nThis opportunity would suit someone with around 12 years experience within an accountancy practice environment who is looking to continue developing their career in a varied and hands-on role. The firm is keen to recruit someone with existing practice experience and can offer ongoing study support towards either AAT or ACA qualifications.
\nThe Role
\nThe successful candidate will gain exposure across a broad range of accounting and compliance work, supporting a varied portfolio of clients while continuing to build their technical skills.
\nKey responsibilities will include:
\nPreparing accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses and clients
\nAssisting with bookkeeping duties and VAT returns
\nSupporting audit assignments where required
\nAssisting with personal and business tax work
\nWorking closely with senior team members and managers to deliver client work accurately and efficiently
\nLiaising with clients to resolve queries and obtain information
\nSupporting the wider team with general practice and compliance work
\nCandidate Requirements
\nPrevious experience working within an accountancy practice environment (ideally 12 years)
\nStudying towards or interested in studying AAT or ACA qualifications
\nGood understanding of accounts preparation and bookkeeping processes
\nExperience with CCH Accounts Production software would be advantageous, although not essential
\nStrong communication and organisational skills
\nGood attention to detail and willingness to learn
\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team
