As our Technical Manager, you will work closely with the Technical Director, the Technical & Commercial team and the wider business to to manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the Architectural, Engineering and De-sign/Planning activities of the region from initial land appraisal through to final adoptions of a development.\n

A High level summary of key responsibilities:\n

- Assist in the evaluation and appraisal of development opportunities and to provide information required to purchase land. \n
- Advise on and secure planning approvals, delivering and reporting as per Group policies and processes to meet the Region's business plan. \n
- Management of external planning, architectural and engineering consultants to ensure that all design in-formation is received, co-ordinated and distributed on time and within budget. \n
- Coordinate the preparation of the Pre tender Health and Safety Information in accordance with the Gleeson procedures. \n
- Progress initial communications with all technical specialist suppliers and contractors e.g piling and sup-porting procurement department through procurement process. \n
- Provide the RMD and Land Director with operational and tactical planning reports and assessments presenting clear and reasoned planning advice in terms of potential risks/opportunities and likely planning gain requirements. \n
The Ideal Candidate:\n
\n
- \n
- A relevant qualification and/or broad experience in Technical/planning with an Engineering focus. \n
- Good strong knowledge of the full development/Technical process/Commercial awareness \n
- Broad knowledge of the legal frameworks associated with planning management and development procurement. \n
- Ability to create and manage programmes, in particular Critical Path. \n
- Previous experience as either a project or discipline manage within a development organisation. \n
- Working in a multi-disciplinary environment \n
- Awareness of Type approval with NHBC, LABC and SBD \n
- Good Organisational skills \n
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements \n
- Strong verbal and written communication \n
- Numerical and Literate \n
- Broad awareness of H&S/CDM regulations \n
- Technically competent in using AutoCAD \n
