Data Centre Cabling Engineer - Newport

Data Centre Cabling Engineer required for a long-term project based in Newport.

We are seeking experienced Data Cabling Engineers with previous data centre, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial installation experience. The role will involve the installation, termination and testing of structured cabling systems within a live and fast-paced environment.

Duties:

\n
• Installation of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
\n
• Fibre optic installation, termination and testing
\n
• Installing containment including basket, tray and trunking
\n
• Labelling and documenting cabling infrastructure
\n
• Testing and fault-finding copper and fibre cabling
\n
• Working from drawings and site plans
\n
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety
  
\n

Requirements:

\n
• ECS/CSCS Card
\n
• Proven structured cabling experience
\n
• Previous data centre or critical environment experience preferred
\n
• Fibre termination and testing experience advantageous
\n
• IPAF beneficial but not essential
  
\n

Location: Newport
Duration: Long-term contract
