Job Description:

Stoa Recruitment are recruiting skilled Site Fitters on behalf of an established steel fabrication business in Batley, West Yorkshire. Two Site Fitter positions are available on a temp-to-perm basis a permanent contract for the right fitter based on performance.

The Role

As a Site Fitter you will be installing architectural staircases, balustrades, handrails, and glass panels in mild and stainless steel. You will work from site packs, lead semi-skilled fitters on site, and take real ownership of delivering a quality finish on time and to standard every time.

This is a role for a Site Fitter who takes pride in the work and wants a permanent position with a business that values skilled tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Fabricate and fit architectural metalwork stairs, balustrades, handrails, and glass panels
\n
• Work from site packs including RAMS, drawings, parts lists, and bolt lists
\n
• Lead and delegate tasks to semi-skilled fitters on site
\n
• Maintain high standards throughout to deliver a quality finish on every project
\n
• Keep accurate daily records of work completed, alterations, and downtime
\n
• Work safely to method statements at all times throughout
\n

What We're Looking For

Must have:

\n
• Skilled experience in mild and stainless steel fabrication and installation architectural staircases and balustrades essential
\n
• Confident reading fabrication and installation drawings
\n
• Knowledge of steel construction and architectural metalwork installation
\n
• Strong health and safety awareness throughout
\n
• Flexibility to work to deadlines including outside normal hours when required
\n

Nice to have:

\n
• IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, Telehandler, FLT, Harness Training, or Slinger Banksman tickets
\n
