\nAre you an experienced CNC Miller Programmer looking for your next opportunity?\n
\nWe're recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer that produces high-quality machined components for highly regulated industries, including the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced CNC Miller Programmer.\n
\nThis role is ideal for someone with a strong background in CNC milling who is confident programming, setting and operating machinery. Experience with CNC turning would be an advantage but isn't essential.\n
\nThe Role\n
\nYou'll be responsible for producing precision-engineered components to exact specifications while maintaining the highest quality standards. Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team, you'll help ensure production targets are achieved while contributing to continuous improvement across the workshop.\n
\nYou'll be working with a variety of CNC machines and control systems, including:\n
\nHAAS\n
\nDMG\n
\nDoosan\n
\nMazak\n
\nFanuc\n
\nSiemens\n
\nHeidenhain\n
\nKey Responsibilities\n
\nProgram, set and operate CNC milling machines.\n
\nModify and optimise existing programmes to improve production efficiency.\n
\nManufacture high-quality components to tight tolerances.\n
\nInterpret engineering drawings, technical sketches and sample parts.\n
\nCarry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.\n
\nComplete production and quality documentation accurately.\n
\nSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.\n
\nWork alongside planning and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.\n
\nPerform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised working environment.\n
\nOffer guidance and support to apprentices where required.\n
\nEnsure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.\n
\nWhat We're Looking For\n
\nPrevious experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.\n
\nBackground within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.\n
\nKnowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain or similar CNC control systems.\n
\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings.\n
\nExperience working to tight tolerances with excellent attention to detail.\n
\nA proactive, reliable and positive approach to work.\n
\nPrevious aerospace engineering experience would be advantageous.\n
\nExperience machining composite materials would be beneficial.\n
