About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive People Administrator to join our dynamic HR team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering a professional, responsive and confidential HR service across the organisation.

\n

Working closely with the People Partner and wider HR team, you’ll support a wide range of HR processes—from onboarding and payroll to employee records and day-to-day HR operations—ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

\n

HR Administration & Support

\n
    \n
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team and Executive Director – HR & Professional Development
  • \n
  • Prepare correspondence, take minutes, and coordinate HR meetings and interviews
  • \n
  • Manage the HR inbox, responding to queries within agreed timelines
  • \n
\n

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle

\n
    \n
  • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new starters
  • \n
  • Ensure all compliance checks (right to work, references, DBS, qualifications) are completed
  • \n
  • Prepare contracts, welcome packs and ensure a smooth first-day experience
  • \n
  • Set up employee records accurately on HR systems
  • \n

Payroll & Systems

  • Process payroll changes including starters, leavers and amendments
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems and records
  • \n
  • Run reports and ensure compliance with the Single Central Record
  • \n
\n

Employee Records & Compliance

\n
    \n
  • Maintain personnel files, spreadsheets and HR systems with a high level of accuracy
  • \n
  • Support audits and ensure data integrity across systems
  • \n
  • Track sickness absence and support related reporting
  • \n
\n

General Support & Projects

\n
    \n
  • Assist with annual leave tracking processes and reporting
  • \n
  • Handle reference requests and HR documentation
  • \n
  • Support HR events, training days and college-wide activities
  • \n
  • Manage departmental administration including stationery and budgets
  • \n
\n

About You

\n

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

\n

You’ll ideally have:

\n
    \n
  • Strong administrative experience in a busy office environment
  • \n
  • Previous HR administration experience (highly desirable)
  • \n
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • \n
  • Experience working with databases or HR systems
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • \n
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
  • \n
