\nWe are working with Northampton General Hospital to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Technician to join their specialist Pharmacy Quality Assurance team.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, supporting the safe production and supply of medicines across aseptic and manufacturing services.
\nAbout the Role
\nAs a Senior QA Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining quality, safety, and compliance across pharmacy production and aseptic services.
\nKey responsibilities include:

Supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) service for licensed production and wholesale facilities
\n - \n
Undertaking environmental monitoring of clean rooms and aseptic units
\n - \n
Performing microbiological testing, airflow monitoring, and temperature mapping
\n - \n
Inspecting and releasing unlicensed medicines and aseptic products
\n - \n
Supporting quality systems, audits, and deviation investigations
\n - \n
Maintaining and optimising QA IT systems and documentation
\n - \n
Supervising and supporting junior technical staff
\n
You will also contribute to the QA/Aseptic Unit rota, including weekends and bank holidays, supporting cancer services.
\nEssential Requirements

- \n
Qualified Pharmacy Technician (GPhC registered) or relevant science/manufacturing qualification
\n - \n
Experience in QA, aseptic services, or pharmaceutical environments
\n - \n
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
\n - \n
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
\n - \n
Good communication and organisational skills
\n
Desirable

Experience with MHRA licensing requirements
\n - \n
Experience in quality management systems and audits
\n - \n
Further training in Quality Assurance or aseptic services
\n - \n
Experience supervising or training staff
\n
