Payroll Specialist – CIPP Qualified

\n Pertemps is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Glasgow for an experienced and CIPP-qualified Payroll Specialist. \n The RoleAs Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient end-to-end payroll service while ensuring compliance with current legislation and organisational policies. Working closely with HR and Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and providing expert guidance on payroll-related matters.

\n Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
\n
• Maintain payroll records and employee data in line with GDPR requirements.
\n
• Calculate statutory payments, pensions, deductions, overtime and other payroll adjustments.
\n
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, payroll legislation and employment law.
\n
• Manage payroll queries, providing a high level of customer service to employees and managers.
\n
• Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance regarding payroll journals.
\n
• Administer pension schemes, including auto-enrolment responsibilities.
\n
• Support year-end payroll activities, including P60s and other statutory reporting.
\n
• Assist with payroll audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.
\n
• Work collaboratively with HR to ensure employee changes are reflected accurately within payroll.

\n About YouWe're looking for a payroll professional who can demonstrate:\n
\n
\n

\n
• CIPD qualification (essential).
\n
• Previous experience managing end-to-end payroll within a busy environment.
\n
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and statutory payments.
\n
• Excellent understanding of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
\n
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
\n
• A proactive approach with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
\n
