Job Description
To carry out the duties of a Standard Craft Operative (SCO) Painter and to contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service.
\nResponsibilities\n
To undertake craft duties as directed by the Repairs/Voids/Contracts Supervisor.
\nTo participate in alternative shift pattern rotas.
\nTo undertake training as required.
\nTo comply with all Health and Safety and security procedures and guidelines.
\nTo undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time.
\nThe Individual\n
\n
Time Served Painter & Decorator or able to demonstrate required competencies.
\nMinimum of SVQ Level 3 in Painting & Decorating/ Tiling or equal.
\nCapable of working on own or as a team member.
\nFull driving licence.
\nGood all round knowledge of decoration and general construction works.
\nGood communication skills
\nAbility to be diplomatic with clients/staff.
\nBe polite and of tidy appearance.
\nAbility to show high level of customer care.
\nAbility to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working.
\nAble to undertake all the duties of the post.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity to become part of our Building Services team at the DLO, that directly employ over 150 multi trade and specialist support staff. Services provided include building maintenance and improvement services to the Council’s 6,300 houses, as well as reactive and planned maintenance too other Council building that includes schools, offices and libraries.
